Clinician Licensing Specialist

 

 

The Clinician Licensing Specialist will be responsible to cross license current and newly onboarded therapists in multiple states. This role is crucial to ensuring that our therapists meet all of the necessary qualifications and credentials to deliver high-quality care to our Members.   

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and process cross license application for all Therapists 
  • Maintain good working knowledge of state licensure requirements and timeframes to obtain licensure
  • Outreach to state licensing boards regarding status updates on providers’ licensure
  • Communicates clear licensing workflow instructions to therapists and follows up on all action items.
  • Maintains up-to-date data for each provider in credentialing databases and CAQH
  • Ongoing follow-up with providers to ensure timely completion of required documents
  • Prioritizes submission of licensing applications and supporting provider materials to state agencies
  • Regularly follows up with state agencies on licensure status and responds quickly and effectively to ad hoc requests
  • Communicates with boards to clarify licensure qualifications, documentation questions, and updates state licensing workflows accordingly

Maintains provider records, compiles additional information, tracks CEUs, and submits the necessary forms to ensure providers remain licensed across the U.S

  • Tracks documents and timeframes associated with licensing. Coordinates with other departments as needed for licensure priority according to staffing needs.
  • Maintains confidentiality of provider information
  • Coordinate with internal departments, such as recruitment and network operations to ensure that providers are accurately and timely credentialed 
  • Respond to inquiries from providers and internal departments regarding licensure status

 

 

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in healthcare or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 3 years experience of behavioral health clinician licensing experiencing
  • Knowledge of state specific credentialing/recredentialing requirements
  • Experience with obtaining licensure for providers across multiple states preferred
  • Demonstrated skills in problem solving, analysis and resolution
  • Knowledge of credentialing standards/regulations and NCQA accreditation 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships providers and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively and meet deadlines 
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy
  • Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records 

General Pay Range
$65,000$85,000 USD
