About The Team

The Senior Manufactuing Technician will assemble prototype instruments & accessories to assist in the development of innovative robotic medical devices. This person will work diligently to overcome technical challenges inherent in the assembly micro-scale mechanical complete devices.  This individual will report to the group director but work with and take direction from team members on day to day tasks.  The individual will work closely with R&D and MFG engineers to train manufacturing operators and help resolve emergent issues.

A Day In The Life Of Our Sr. Manufacturing Technician 

  • Work independently and in conjunction with other technicians & engineers to build prototype robotic instruments and accessories.
  • Assist root cause analysis for prototype defects and develop methods and fixtures to eliminate assembly errors & nonconformances.
  • Draft MPI’s, drawings, and schematics to document assembly methods and fixtures.
  • Solder electrical or electronic components/hardware of assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools.
  • Follow MPI’s to ensure accurate assembly of robotic catheters with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Comfortable with common test equipment such as multimeters and or specialized test equipment.
  • Able to use adhesive applicators and UV curing equipment while adhering to safety protocols
  • Ensure accurate recording of assembly and testing data while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for the proper filing and maintenance of LHRs.
  • Align, fit, or assemble component parts, using magnification, hand or power tools, fixtures, or templates.
  • Inspect parts and subassemblies for defects, including mechanical, and electrical micro-components using magnification and/or inspection tools.
  • In conjunction with R&D engineers, design and develop assembly aids/fixtures/tools and associated processes and methods.
  • Track and organize component inventory for prototypes and plan ahead to maintain appropriate levels of inventory to enable the team to build prototypes as needed.
  • Perform bench testing of components, subassemblies and prototypes.  Record testing results and prepare reports of test results.
  • Verify part dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
  • Repair, rework, rebuild and/or calibrate instrument & accessory prototype assemblies to meet performance specifications. 

About You

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of medical device assembly work experience required
  • Proven track record of working in a high performing, team environment.
  • Able to use precision hand tools, tweezers, crimpers, soldering equipment, and other mechanical/electrical equipment (laser welder, etc.).
  • Experience working in a regulated environment in compliance to ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820 is required.
  • Clear, concise and considerate written and oral communication skills.
  • Good computer skills (Gmail, Google Calendar, Docs, Sheets, etc.).

Salary Range Description:

 

Consistent with applicable laws, an employee's pay within this range is based on a number of factors which include but are not limited to relevant education, skills, job-related knowledge, qualifications, work experience, credentials, and/or geographic location. Noah Medical reserves the right to modify this range as needed. Please note that the aforementioned range is only one component of the position's total compensation package.

California Pay Range
$30$38 USD
