About The Team:
The R&I Bio medical Intern will apply their educational background to support the R&I team in the exploration, design, and assessments of novel instrument solutions. These instruments will include robotically manipulated catheters, endoscopes, and associated accessories. The intern will participate in the design, prototyping and testing of these novel instrument solutions. This will be a hands-on position.
A Day In The Life Of Our R&I Bio medical Intern:
- Develop an understanding of flexible endoscopy procedures and the associated technologies in order to empathize with Patients, Physicians, and Payers.
- Participate in ex-vivo & in-vivo labs to evaluate novel device concepts.
- Participate in designing & fabrication of disposable medical devices.
- Participate in designing assembly and testing fixtures for evaluating the performance of novel instruments
- Creates and maintains Solidworks CAD models and drawings.
- Collaborate with engineering counterparts from Noah’s Product Development teams in order to leverage applicable legacy technologies and processes.
- Works collaboratively and efficiently in a small start-up environment
About You:
- A rising senior or graduate in Biomedical or Mechanical engineering
- Strong academic background in biomedical engineering, with coursework or experience in medical device design, biomaterials, and testing..
- Familiarity using a CAD system like SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with rapid prototyping processes such as 3D printing and machining.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges
- This position will require you to work primarily out of our research office in Pleasanton. Candidates will need to occasionally travel to Noah’s San Carlos & Sunnyvale offices during intradepartmental events, lab days, physician visits, and other collaborative sessions.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Consistent with applicable laws, an employee's pay within this range is based on a number of factors which include but are not limited to relevant education, skills, job-related knowledge, qualifications, work experience, credentials, and/or geographic location of the posted role. Noah Medical reserves the right to modify this range as needed based on candidate experience level and/or specialized skills. Please note that the aforementioned range is only one component of the position's total compensation package.
