Senior Medical Image Reconstruction Algorithm Engineer to join our medical imaging team. In this role, you would apply medical image reconstruction algorithms to the research and development of an image-guided medical robotic system for lung intervention. As a team of algorithm engineers with varying specialties, you would be primarily focused on CT/CBCT/tomosynthesis image reconstruction algorithms such as FDK, iterative reconstruction, model-based reconstruction, metal artifact reduction, and deep learning-based reconstruction.
A Day In The Life Of Our Senior Algorithm Engineer - Medical Imaging Reconstruction:
- Work with users and a well-established team to understand clinical needs and invent innovative image-guided intervention solutions
- Research, prototype, and iterate algorithmic solutions to medical imaging problems to establish industry leadership
- Contribute high-quality software to create medical products that are safe and effective
- Perform engineering evaluations, support clinical testing, and draft technical/regulatory documentation
About You:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience after completing undergraduate degree
- MS/PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Radiology or other related programs; PhD is highly desired
- Proficient programming skills in C++ / Python; effective object oriented programming
- Extensive knowledge in X-ray / CT medical imaging physics
- Extensive hands-on expertise in CT/CBCT/tomosynthesis image reconstruction algorithms: FDK, iterative reconstruction, model-based reconstruction, metal artifact reduction and deep learning-based reconstruction
- Solid foundation of mathematics and analytical skills
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience in machine learning and deep learning
- Product development experience in commercializing relevant algorithms is highly preferred
- Experience with algorithm acceleration and CUDA is highly preferred
- Knowledge and experience of medical image analysis (segmentation, registration) is highly preferred
- Knowledge and experience of computer vision and medical image visualization is preferred
- A passion to applying cutting-edge technologies to solve real-world medical problems
- Excellent communication, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Consistent with applicable laws, an employee's pay within this range is based on a number of factors which include but are not limited to relevant education, skills, job-related knowledge, qualifications, work experience, credentials, and/or geographic location of the posted role. Noah Medical reserves the right to modify this range as needed based on candidate experience level and/or specialized skills. Please note that the aforementioned range is only one component of the position's total compensation package.
