Your Role

As a Visiting Investment Analyst (intern) with NLC’s Venture Finance team, you’ll be involved in the exciting world of investment transactions and mergers & acquisition (M&A) within our diverse portfolio

Your Activities and responsibilities include:

  • Involvement in investment deals and M&A within NLC’s portfolio
  • Assisting in the preparation and execution of investment rounds for portfolio companies
  • Participating in due diligence activities, likely including financial analysis, market research, and legal review
  • Conducting research on market trends and competitive landscapes
  • Contributing to the development of investment proposals and business plans
  • Creating and delivering presentations related to investment opportunities and portfolio companies
  • Participating in various internal projects within the Venture Finance team
  • Working closely with experienced investment professionals, industry experts, and CEOs of portfolio companies

Your Profile 

We are looking for a high-potential Master’s student who has:

  • Outstanding analytical and critical thinking skills
  • An affinity for / interest in venture capital, entrepreneurship and start-ups
  • A background in economics, business, finance, entrepreneurship, innovation sciences, or a similar field of study
  • An eye for detail, but also the ability to see the big picture
  • Adaptive capabilities in a constantly changing environment
  • Excellent team player
  • Full professional proficiency in English
  • Previous (internship) experience in corporate finance, venture capital, private equity and/or (strategy) consultancy is a plus
  • The right to work in the Netherlands (we do not have the capacity to offer relocation support nor visa sponsorship)
  • Please note that to be considered for this internship, you must provide either a UNL or Nuffic agreement from your university. Applicants without one of these agreements will not be eligible
