We are seeking a talented Lead Technical Animator to join our team and play a pivotal role in the development of our next-generation gaming experiences. As the Lead Technical Animator, you will collaborate closely with artists, designers, and engineers to create stunning character animations and bring our game worlds to life. Proficiency in Unreal Engine is crucial for this role as we leverage its power to deliver top-tier gaming experiences, including strong knowledge and experience with Animation Blueprints.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of technical animators to ensure the highest quality of animation in our games.
  • Collaborate with artists, designers, and engineers to develop animation pipelines and workflows that optimize efficiency and maintain consistency.
  • Create and implement complex character rigs and animation systems within Unreal Engine.
  • Utilize Animation Blueprints to implement and fine-tune character animations, blending, and state machines.
  • Solve technical challenges related to character animation, rigging, and skinning.
  • Work closely with the art and design teams to define animation requirements and ensure they align with gameplay and visual goals.
  • Conduct research and development to stay updated on the latest animation techniques and technologies.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in game development with a focus on character animation.
  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine with a strong understanding of its animation systems and tools, including Animation Blueprints.
  • Expertise in character rigging, skinning, and animation techniques.
  • Solid understanding of anatomy, motion, and physics as they apply to character animation.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
  • Experience with motion capture data processing and implementation is a plus.
  • A passion for gaming and a desire to create unforgettable player experiences.
  • Experience in at least one game project developed and published using Unreal Engine.
