Niantic's Security Team seeks a Senior Security SRE to improve the security stance of our production environment and deployments. Niantic Engineering leads the advancement of AR and other immersive technologies while creating engaging apps for a user base in the billions. Responsibilities
- You perform security reviews of our platform and production environments.
- You help build up hardened in-house OS images and configurations for deployment in virtual machines and Docker / Kubernetes.
- You lead the security industry to the next level by building out tooling and launching high impact efforts to support the engineering organization with security topics.
- You help site reliability engineers in security concerns, codify deployment practices across teams and participate in the SRE on-call rotation..
- You collaborate with the SRE team and engineering leadership on the rollout of security measures.
- You provide creative solutions to improve Niantic's security.
Qualifications
- You can demonstrate strong programming skills in any of Go, Python, Java.
- You have 5+ years of experience in a global company with cloud-centric infrastructure.
- You have an in-depth understanding of Cloud technologies.
- You have experience building out tooling, helping engineers and improving security.
- You have demonstrated strong communication and team skills in a distributed environment.
Plus If...
- You have experience in multi-cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud).
- You have software development or project management experience.
