Summary

This position is responsible for deploying, monitoring, maintaining, and repairing broadcast production equipment systems in the Broadcast Engineering environment. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Have a full understanding of technical facilities, complex broadcast production equipment systems, as well as computer and data network assets in the Broadcast Engineering environment
  • Ability to rapidly diagnose problems and provide alternative solutions if needed to maintain production deadlines
  • Ability to comprehend complex concepts and workflows
  • Participate and contribute to the training and ongoing education of Production personnel in the operation of equipment and systems
  • The employee must be able to work evening, weekend, and/or overnight shifts.
  • The employee may be required to work a flexible rotating 24/7 shift.

 

Required Qualifications

 

Skills -- Broadcast 

  • Strong technical experience and exposure to broadcast television production equipment, including tape, drive, and memory-based video recorders, production switchers, routers, cameras, transmission and encoding equipment
  • Strong knowledge of television systems engineering

Skills -- Computer/Storage/Networking/Applications 

  • Knowledge of basic networking
  • Must have proficient computer skills in Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Graphics (Adobe Creative Suite and VizRT)
  • Knowledge of log monitoring programs

At least 3 years of experience utilizing the aforementioned skill set in day-to-day support of a broadcast television production facility. Must be able to work successfully in a traditional network-based broadcast environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS
  • 3+ years of experience in Broadcast Engineering
  • Management and leadership knowledge and experience

Salary Range

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range. 

Salary
$2,500$3,450 USD
