Overview /Objective

This position will be a part of the NFL Communications Department, supporting the Football Communications group’s day-to-day activities, including playing a pivotal role in all media operations at NFL events and creating strategic football content that further drives the narrative of competitive excellence that is the hallmark of the NFL.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a variety of stakeholders in a cross-organizational fashion to support media operations activities for NFL tentpole events, including Super Bowl, Combine, Draft and international games.
  • Play a key role in creating and disseminating the league’s publications, including the Record & Fact Book, Black Book and Postseason Media Guide, in a multitude of formats ensuring all material is accessible and customizable to reach its intended audience.
  • Editorial responsibilities related to football content, including editing, fact-checking and proofing all content during the season, including on all NFL gamedays.
  • Be a forward-thinking, innovative strategic football communicator, creating compelling content to drive media interest in the game, domestically and internationally.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Communications or related field required.
  • At least 3+ years of experience with a league, club or in a collegiate athletic communications role.

  • Profound, in-depth NFL knowledge.

  • Proficient research skills, ability to fact-check and attention to detail.

Travel

  • Potential to travel during NFL tentpole events, including Super Bowl, Pro Bowl Games, NFL Draft, NFL Combine and International Games.

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week. This role will require additional hours outside of normal working hours, especially on nights and weekends during the season and at events.

Salary / Pay Range

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the ranges.

 

 

Salary
$75,000$90,000 USD
