What You’ll Do: 

  • Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end closings including year-end audit and the consolidated financial statements
  • Prepare and post journal entries and maintain balance sheet schedules
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
  • Oversee the Accounts Payable process ensuring all vendor invoices are properly recorded and paid on time
  • Enhance and drive efficiencies and effective accounting process and systems
  • Assist with the preparation of employees’ variable compensation plans, calculation and analysis
  • Reconcile and record corporate credit card expenses
  • Create and manage budget vs. actual reports for specific departments
  • Liaise with external accountants to ensure proper filing of all local, state, and federal taxes
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of business processes and accounting procedures, financial systems, and business system requirements
  • Develop and maintain internal accounting control and reporting policies for a growing company
  • Acquire a deep understanding of the business, develop KPIs, tools, and metrics for use by management
  • Work on ad-hoc assignments and special projects
  • AR side- Invoicing process, end-to-end billing process (with 3 years experience)
    • Work and support business departments for any needed finance perspective related to customer engagement/communication.
    • Manage billing process from engagement through delivery to invoicing due to customer’s special requirements.
    • Knowledge of SalesForce and Netsuite systems is an advantage.
    • Monthly Revenue Recognition
    • Handle balance sheet responsibility on balances related to the billing process every month.
    • Monthly Revenue Analysis for Management
    • Work with different accounting and FP&A teams

What Will I Bring? 

  • BS in Accounting
  • 3+ experience in a finance/accounting function
  • Strong GAAP and general ledger knowledge
  • Solid communication skills with the ability to work with all members of the organization and all levels of management
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Must be self-motivated, highly detailed and organized
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, multitask, set own priorities and adapt to a changing environment
  • Hands on, can-do attitude and approach, team player, comfortable in a fast-paced, growing environment with a small team

In support of pay transparency and equity, the minimum and maximum full-time annual base salary for this role in NY is $90,000 - $100,000 at the time of posting. While this is our reasonable expectation this is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, certifications, responsibility, and geographic location.  Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
