As the Proposal Specialist – Intern, you will have the opportunity to help bring strategic talent-facing initiatives to life for large employers. You will partner with our Business Development and Strategy Team to analyze and develop solutions to offer our clients, working with client-side HR leaders, communications teams, and change agents who rely on our thought leadership and industry leading employee-focused communications.
This is an internship role that provides exposure to real business challenges and how they get resolved – lessons that will serve you well throughout your career.
Detailed Responsibilities
You will play a lead role in the development of strategic solutions and programs. Some of your efforts will include:
- Developing solution-based proposals for enterprise-level client engagements. Some of our areas of work include Purpose, Values, Culture Transformation, DE&I, Talent Attraction/Employer Brand/EVP, Capability Building, Performance, Recognition, Orientation & Onboarding, Learning.
- Developing granular scopes and statements of work that address client needs and capture Nexus’ service offerings
- Collaborating with inside sales/prospecting team to help identify new business opportunities, and prepare, present, propose, and convert.
- Developing strategic presentations, models, and points of view throughout business development efforts and client engagements.
- Create standardized tiered solutions to provide clients with clear, easily accessible options for different workstreams
- Support the standardization, benchmarking, and strategic improvement of our solution development processes
Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required
- A strategic and analytical mindset.
- General knowledge and understanding of organizational structure and dynamics.
- Demonstrated knowledge of OR interest in complex Human Resources topics
- Excellent written and verbal communications and presentation skills
- Able to clarify complex information and identify value propositions and differentiators
- Confident, proactive, able to interact with all levels of business professionals
- You are comfortable managing tight deadlines.
- Personal integrity, discretion and a strong client service orientation is essential
- Demonstrated self-starter and highly motivated to handle a fast-paced environment
- A team player who also works well independently
