The Role: 

The Customer Operations Associate will partner with Newsela’s Customer and Finance teams to drive operational excellence and process efficiency in the Sales organization. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will work to ensure our business processes and CRM data integrity are streamlined and accurate, devise and implement ongoing process improvements, and support the Customer and Accounting teams to ensure deal integrity throughout sale and execution. Additionally, you will play an instrumental role in gathering requirements for Salesforce system updates relating to controls, approvals, and contract governance.

Why We’ll Love You: 

You have 2+ years experience related to business operations, sales operations, project coordination, or similar commercial functions. Role-specific skill sets include: CRM case queue management, contract and deal analysis, sales quote support, and troubleshooting issues for sales within the CRM. As an analytical, proactive team-player, you are great at prioritization and leveraging Salesforce to improve efficiency across operations. You’re also a skilled user of Salesforce.com, as well as Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, finding trends in large datasets, etc.). You’re a stickler for details and process governance, and can seamlessly translate operational needs across cross-functional stakeholders through great communication and presentation skills. You also love understanding and refining current best practices, and finding productivity enhancements in administration and contract management.
