The Renewal Specialist is responsible for delivering a seamless renewal experience to our customers, including pre-building quotes where applicable for schools and districts with Newsela subscriptions. You will develop and complete tasks associated with quote generation, ultimately improving workflow efficiencies for the Customer Success team and enhancing the overall customer experience by decreasing the amount of time it takes to receive a quote and ease of experience for customers. You will also provide accurate, timely, and relevant communication to customers throughout the renewal process, and will escalate concerns as needed to CSMs and key stakeholders within the company.

As the Renewal Specialist, you’ll support all aspects of our automated renewal process. Your work will directly impact administrators and buyers so that teachers and students have continued access to engaging content on Newsela’s platform. You’ll collaborate frequently with various stakeholders across the Customer Success organization to ensure we’re working as efficiently as possible. Your feedback and research will also help drive future operational process enhancements that impact the renewal cycle and improve how our existing customers engage with us. Your work will directly impact the expansion and adoption of Newsela products in K-12 classrooms nationwide, and will ultimately help bring engaging, culturally responsive learning content to students and teachers.

You have a strong attention to detail and are focused on ways you can work more efficiently as you generate quotes in partnership with Customer Success Managers. You have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to decrease the time it takes to generate and send a quote, ultimately improving the renewal experience for schools and small districts. As a self starter, you have demonstrated expertise in both working collaboratively and as an individual contributor. You leverage your Salesforce.com experience and sales process training to efficiently manage customer data to ensure we have the most current and up to date information. You ideally bring 6+ months in EdTech or SaaS environments.
