About the Role

We are seeking a passionate candidate to join the business development team to drive the growth of NewsBreak. The primary function is to manage the end-to-end full deal cycle of partnership and strategic deals with publishers (in all categories, not just news), media organizations, TV networks, content providers, as well as other digital platforms (e.g., Google, Facebook, Apple, etc.). The focus of the role will be expanding and elevating existing editorial-based deals, video including CTV, and B2B services across 3rd parties including publishers and other strategic partners.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect and engage media publishers (digital, print, broadcast, CTV and other strategics)  for partnership with NewsBreak
  • Develop publisher relationships, lead the negotiation of key terms and structure agreements to expand NewsBreak’s publisher base
  • Manage the end-to-end process of the deal cycle
  • Attend trade shows, conferences and other events across the US for building and maintaining relationships
  • Maintain an active pipeline, prioritize leads and clearly communicate status to the rest of the company
  • Analyze business results, generate reports, and build sales presentations

 

Requirements

  • 4+ years’ experience in digital/print/broadcast/CTV publisher business development is required
  • Experience developing and managing a partnership or sales pipeline
  • Strong contacts in the digital publisher space is a plus
  • Proficiency in digital ad technology required
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results from deal initiation to close with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to identify trends and use data to backup recommendations
  • Strong writing, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • High-energy, driven, curious personality with proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • BA or equivalent required

The US base salary range for this full-time position is listed below. Pay may vary based on a number of factors including job-related skills, level, experience, geographic location and relevant education or training. At NewsBreak, we design our overall rewards package to attract top talents. Depending on the position, the role may also be eligible for discretionary bonus and options.
