Our Casual Role

Operations & Warehouse Technician is a hands-on role balancing time between Ground Operations and Workshop Operations. As a ground operator you will be driving a service vehicle to manage our e-scooter fleet. This includes picking up e-scooters across the city and moving them to high demand locations and swapping batteries. Primary KPIs for the Ground Operations component relate to the availability of our Neuron e-scooters and the ideal distribution of scooters in the city (rebalancing). As a Warehouse Technician you are our e-scooter mechanic responsible for repairing and servicing our fleet. The primary KPIs for the Warehouse Technician component relate to the productivity of e-scooter repairs. This is a high impact role that will suit people who love driving, love physical work, fixing e-vehicles and are looking for an exciting challenge. 

 

What you’ll do:

  • Maintain city availability (battery swaps), retrieving issues and returning scooters to the designated parking stations.
  • Perform timely deployment of the mobility devices at designated stations to support consumer demand.
  • Ensure timely pick up of assigned e-scooters from scooter consolidation areas.
  • Perform quality control and basic maintenance on the e-scooters.
  • Adhere to the Operations Standard Operating Procedures. 
  • Service and repair e-scooters 
  • Represent Neuron as a positive brand ambassador.

What you'll need:

  • A valid Open Class Driver Licence 
  • Ideally, the ability to work 5 hours (minimum) to 20 hours (maximum) per week
  • A suitable personal smartphone is required (generally an Apple or Android device from 2018 or newer)
  • Ability to lift, carry and manoeuvre 26-28 kg
  • Self-starter who radiates positivity and possesses a “can-do” attitude
  • Passion for delivering a seamless customer experience.
  • Any further experience in mobility, transportation, logistics, mechanics etc is advantageous
