Neuralink is developing ultra-high bandwidth brain-machine interfaces to connect humans and computers. We are building a team of multidisciplinary experts passionate about making a world-changing impact.
As the Lead Electrical Engineer in the robotics department, you’ll take over leadership of the robotics electrical engineering team. This team is responsible for the design, build, and test of the electrical systems for all our surgical robots along with a number of ancillary robotic systems. Some examples of projects worked on by this group are: single digit micron accuracy motion control systems, high speed laser based (eg: Optical Coherence Tomography) sensing and visualization systems, 6 DOF hexapods for micron scale laser micromachining, and laser based tissue ablation. We’re in the process of both taking our initial surgical robot into production use and expanding the their scope of responsibilities to the whole surgery, so this is an exciting time to join.
As the lead of this team, you’ll be responsible for setting priorities and managing the team, but will also be expected to make significant technical contributions. This is not a purely managerial role - you will both lead and contribute technically to the team!
No neuroscience or surgical experience is necessary. We care most about your technical and leadership excellence in electrical systems engineering, and will teach you all the neuroscience and surgical knowledge you need.
