The QA team at NetEase Games is hiring! We’re looking for an exceptional QA Lead with extensive experience in games functional testing to support Anchor Point Studios and help push the boundaries of entertainment in extraordinary ways and develop experiences that are both memorable and timeless. As a member of the QA Team, you’ll be working closely with the core development teams ensuring the project quality standards are upheld.

 

Responsibilities

  • As the first Functional QA hire for the studio you will be responsible for the setup of JIRA (workflows, resolutions, custom fields, etc.) and TestMo (test case management software, creation of test cases, sets, and ultimately a comprehensive test suite).
  • Prepare detailed test plans while setting high standards for all future test cases
  • Attend and actively participate in daily stand-ups with a mindset of always looking to add value
  • Provide personal support, mentoring and professional development to future QA team members.
  • Proactively evaluate future team's performance and workload and make decisions on how to drive improvement and better support them.
  • Continually evaluate the process and propose improvements to the broader development team.
  • Be a point of contact for QA communication across the studio.
  • Build relationships with QA experts across the broader organization to stay up-to-date on best practices, tools, and opportunities to collaborate and drive improvements
  • Autonomously make decisions and adapt to changing situations and circumstances.
  • Triage and manage defects, proactively working with the development team towards resolving issues with appropriate priorities..
  • Create, monitor, and control metrics impacting product and team quality.
  • Perform functionality testing as needed

 

Requirements 

  • Demonstrable experience in leading and building high-performing teams.
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance roles within the games industry
  • We will be accepting applications from candidates based in Dublin (Ireland) and Barcelona (Spain)
  • In-depth knowledge of game testing methodologies, practices, tools.
  • You actively work to continuously improve and learn
  • Proficient with Jira or similar bug-tracking databases.
  • Proficient with perforce or similar source control solutions.
  • Technically proficient and able to learn new systems and tools quickly and effectively
  • Must be willing and able to work independently and create and manage tasks without constant oversight. You must be a true self-starter who thrives in an environment where there will not be micro-management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are imperative
  • Proactive mindset - we want someone with initiative and resourcefulness who drives towards results with enthusiasm and overall positive energy
  • Love playing games with interests in many different genres and a passion for developing high-quality experiences.
