Ned for CT is hiring a Data Director! The Data Director will report to the Organizing Director, oversee the campaign’s data and analytics infrastructure, and play a key role in implementing a grassroots organizing program that persuades and mobilizes voters to re-elect Ned Lamont as Governor of Connecticut in 2022.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain reports for the voter contact team
Work with the Organizing Director and Campaign Manager to develop targets for voter contact universes
Administer NGP VAN/VoteBuilder, including training and troubleshooting
Work with the organizing team to administer digital organizing tools
Help develop and maintain an effective, “get things done” organizational culture rooted in mutual trust, transparency, kindness, and respect
Collaborate across departments to solve problems, conduct analysis, and increase the effectiveness of programs
Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
Emotional intelligence, empathy, and willingness to assume good intentions and faith in others
Interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, including a strong sense of humor
Experience with NGP VAN/VoteBuilder
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
Familiarity or proficiency with SQL or other programming languages used for analyzing large datasets
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Enthusiasm for learning new skills and collaborating within a team
Preferred:
Experience in organizing analytics, reporting, and data, including: building voter contact lists, developing universes and targets, creating turf, administering NGP VAN, etc.
Experience managing staff, interns, or volunteers
Experience using and supporting digital organizing tools
