Ned for CT is hiring Organizers! Organizers will report to a Regional Organizing Director, manage and organize volunteers, and collaboratively implement a grassroots organizing program in their turf that persuades and mobilizes voters to re-elect Ned Lamont as Governor of Connecticut in 2022. Organizer roles are open across the state, from Greenwich to the Quiet Corner!
Talk to voters and potential voters, including via: phone, text, door knock, clipboarding, attending community events, social media, etc.
Work with a Regional Organizing Director to implement the statewide organizing plan in their turf
Recruit, train, and work with a diverse team of volunteers and community leaders
Develop an organizing program focused relentlessly on high-quality conversations with people of Connecticut in their turf
Help develop and maintain an effective, “get things done” organizational culture rooted in mutual trust, transparency, kindness, and respect
Collaborate across departments to build and leverage community relationships across their turf
Other responsibilities as assigned
Emotional intelligence, empathy, and willingness to assume good intentions and faith in others
Interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, including a strong sense of humor
Enthusiasm for learning new skills and collaborating within a team
Experience in grassroots organizing
Experience with NGP VAN/VoteBuilder
Experience using digital organizing tools
Experience managing interns or volunteers
