Ned for CT is hiring Regional Organizing Directors! Regional Organizing Directors will report to a Deputy Organizing Director, manage organizers, and collaboratively plan and implement a grassroots organizing program in their region that persuades and mobilizes voters to re-elect Ned Lamont as Governor of Connecticut in 2022.
Responsibilities:
Work with a Deputy Organizing Director to develop and implement the statewide organizing plan in their region
Hire, train, and manage a diverse team of organizers
Coach and hold accountable organizers to develop a regional organizing program focused relentlessly on high-quality conversations with the people of Connecticut in their region
Help develop and maintain an effective, “get things done” organizational culture rooted in mutual trust, transparency, kindness, and respect
Collaborate across departments to build and leverage community relationships in their region
Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
Emotional intelligence, empathy, and willingness to assume good intentions and faith in others
Interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, including a strong sense of humor
Experience managing interns or volunteers
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Enthusiasm for learning new skills and collaborating within a team
Preferred:
Experience managing staff
Experience in grassroots organizing
Experience with NGP VAN/VoteBuilder
Experience using digital organizing tools
