Ned for CT is hiring Deputy Organizing Directors! Deputy Organizing Directors will report to the Organizing Director, manage organizing staff, and collaboratively plan and implement a grassroots organizing program that persuades and mobilizes voters to re-elect Ned Lamont as Governor of Connecticut in 2022.
Work with the Organizing Director to develop and implement a statewide organizing plan
Hire, train, and manage a diverse team of organizing staff (including Regional Organizing Directors, Distributed Organizing Managers, and Organizers)
Collaborate across departments to implement digital organizing tools
Coach and hold accountable organizing staff to develop an organizing program focused relentlessly on high-quality conversations with the people of Connecticut
Help develop and maintain an effective, “get things done” organizational culture rooted in mutual trust, transparency, kindness, and respect
Collaborate across departments to build and leverage community relationships across the state
Other responsibilities as assigned
Emotional intelligence, empathy, and willingness to assume good intentions and faith in others
Interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, including a strong sense of humor
Experience managing staff, interns, or volunteers
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Enthusiasm for learning new skills and collaborating within a team
Experience in grassroots organizing
Experience training, managing, and coaching managers
Experience with NGP VAN/VoteBuilder
Experience using digital organizing tools
