About the project:
We are looking for an experienced Senior WordPress Engineer responsible for managing plugins and code built for WordPress. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of central databases, application of WordPress standards and UI elements, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary. Lastly, you will be integrating with various platforms in different shapes, forms and sizes. An understanding of modern (and sometimes not so modern) API practices, including building your own, is required.
You will be able to:
- Build custom WordPress themes from scratch on your own or as part of a team.
- Test, maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot existing client sites.
- Translate designs and technical requirements into modular, performant, and accessible HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Provide estimates for project work and offer alternatives when challenging tasks threaten project budgets or timelines.
- Make recommendations for efficient front-end approaches and methodologies.
- Collaborate with designers to develop modular design systems to promote efficient code reuse.
- Participate in technical discussions and contribute ideas to improve internal tools and processes.
- Participate in standups and other sessions.
- Receive business training to help with continuing education.
- Be a part of a team that is developing cutting-edge technology. And, have a little fun while doing it.
What will help you succeed in this role:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ Years of experience working with WordPress (PHP).
- 3+ Years of experience working with JavaScript.
- 3+ Years of experience working with HTML & CSS.
- Advanced English Level is required for this role as you will work with US clients. Effective communication in English is essential to deliver the best solutions to our clients and expand your horizons.
