At Near Space Labs we design, build and operate a fleet of stratospheric balloons called Swiftys. Our Swiftys fly to the edge of space to capture images of our planet at the best frequency and resolution on the market.

We’re looking for an intern willing to apply their acquired knowledge to the industry. You’ll be supporting the processing and coordination of our flight operations. You will assist in collecting, managing and analyzing the image and flight data, working with various teams to ensure smooth communication and efficient operations.The internship we offer is an outstanding opportunity to understand how an imagery processing pipeline is designed and implemented, as well as take responsibility for product delivery. You’ll be working on monitoring the integrity of data and ensuring it meets required standards together with our data processing team.

Your responsibilities:

  • Own and Manage the processing of all of our imagery; 
  • Identify and raise pipeline issues and imagery defects to you colleagues;
  • Provide consistent, high quality imaging and mapping products to our customers
  • Gather data analysis to identify trends, insights, and areas for operational improvements

Location

This is a remote position, preferably you are based in Barcelona or close. You must be enrolled in a spanish university at the time of applying.

Your Skills

  • 1+ year experience coding in Python.
  • Have keen interest in software development and artificial intelligence applied to real world challenges.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of data analysis and reporting, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or a related field. Data science or Computer Vision experience will be appreciated.
  • High level of English is essential.
