You’ll develop a platform for a top Fintech project while collaborating with talented engineers, providing expert guidance, and shaping the future of financial technology with client teams. The Role

As a Senior Developer at NearForm, you will play an important role in the development process. Our ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator who wants to contribute to the process in a meaningful way. We expect you to follow modern code standards and strive for performant, accessible, and easy-to-read code. As well as be a strong team player and communicator. A person who will succeed in this role will go above and beyond the stated requirements to make sure that what is being delivered is something they can be proud of.

The Ideal candidate will have the following skills and background:

  • Be available to work from the office in London 2 to 3 days per week
  • Advanced experience with React patterns, scaling, state management, performance, and rendering the impact of various patterns and state management strategies.
  • Experience with backend development and Node.js
  • Demonstrates empathy and a client-focused mindset by continuously seeking ways to improve team processes, streamline workflows, and deliver high-quality solutions that meet client needs.
  • Encourages open communication and collaboration within the team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Documents technical decisions and ensures they align with client goals and objectives, providing transparent and clear guidance throughout the development process.
  • Understands behavioral differences between server and client rendering and how hydration works.
  • Able to help drive a dynamic and composable web app’s design system and content using a headless CMS.
  • Familiarity with front-end best practices regarding accessibility, performance, and responsiveness; you’ve worked with frameworks like Tailwind and have experience building within Storybook.
  • Understands and can configure build tools, understands what transpilation is and how it affects end-user code, and knows how to optimize code delivered to end users.
  • Able to challenge architectural patterns and offer solutions to improve the codebase while moving the team forward. Knows how to design and distribute effective shared libraries and tools.
  • Comfortable analyzing page performance, using tools like Lighthouse to gather page data, and responding to those insights with improvements to the application.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of testing principles and practices, including striking an appropriate balance between unit and integration tests in an application.
  • Proficient in utilizing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to enable automated testing and deployment of code changes.
