As the People Operations Manager at Near, you will hold company culture and personnel in your hands, playing an integral role in how we source externally and how our team functions internally. This means planning and executing our sourcing and interviewing process for new candidates, helping employees onboard to the team and supporting our cultural growth over time by whatever means necessary. You will also be the duct tape that holds many of the other company operations together too. We have plenty of operational fires to put out while we’re changing offices, hosting events around the world and generally punching above our weight class.
But you know this because you’ve done it before. You know that this role really means “swiss army knife who can do a lot of different things”. Startup environments are both unique and addictive. You’re the right fit for this role if you’ve taken on the challenges of building teams in an early stage startup and come back looking for more.
Specifically, you will be successful if you are both an energetic people person and a detail-oriented operations thinker with a passion for technical nerding. If you’ve purchased crypto tokens, used a DApp, automated a spreadsheet operation with Zapier or even figured out how to hack together a web app to take care of repetitive tasks, we’re in the right ballpark. If you also run a nonprofit or a Burning Man camp in your spare time... even better. The best candidates will have already worked in multiple early stage startups in an ops role, HR role or both. And it’s definitely helpful if you generally like developers and/or technical products :)

- Demonstrated multi-year success in an operations, HR or Ops/HR role in a startup environment.
