We are looking for a passionate game designer who can contribute and implement exciting game design into our client’s award-winning game franchise.

Responsibilities:

Designing games for a range of devices and platforms that can engage and capture the imagination of the user
Coordinating with other professional developers, designers, artists, animators, and audio designers to create a compelling game prototype, i.e. a small scale demo playable version of the game, ensuring an excellent game play experience
Working closely with multiplayer, character, campaign and narrative to help Sandbox design weapons, abilities, objects and vehicles, and tune gameplay to implement various aspects of Halo.
Building code-intensive designs, using object-oriented programming (OOP) languages, such as Java, C and C++ that can control the difficulty levels in the game and enable multiplayer gameplay over a network
Developing the artificial intelligence (AI) that dictates reactions of computer-controlled elements.
Creating game demos, and conducting user research sessions based on the demo experiences
Working on the integration of various content into the game engine or scripted game events.
Ensuring the high resolution 3D sculpts, low polygon meshes, in-game assets, art prototypes are animation ready, content complete, reviewed by leads and working seamlessly in game engine.
Working closely with animators, technical artists, designers and programmers handling design data, motion capture data, lip sync and facial animation systems, animation rigs, physics rigs, animation trees and dynamic objects
Helping create plug-ins and / or scripts to automate tasks, working with physics systems for rigid/soft bodies, hair, cloth, IK/FK, and object interaction
Participating in the cross-software development process.
Scheduling and coordinating playtests, logging issues, and following up on resolution
Working with the QA Testers to test the early versions of the game to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality builds and patches pre/post live ops and working with other producers and QA team to resolve bugs and reporting
Identifying and solving technical issues for Sandbox as the game goes through Alpha, Beta, and Final
Managing daily standups, sprint tracking, backlog management, creating and distributing team status updates.
Completing impact analysis of new requirements and accommodating change requirements in coming sprints. Creating change request document and driving the change requirement process

 

Qualifications

3-5 years’ experience in Game Design

A minimum of a BA/BS degree, or equivalent, in game design, computer science /engineering or information technology or relevant game design experience.

Deep knowledge of various design disciplines

3+ years working with an object-oriented language such as Java, C, or C++

Must have shipped 2-3 AAA games

Confident presentation skills to all levels of an organization
