NCSOFT is seeking an ambitious VP, Business Development to identify and build a robust pipeline of acquisitions and partnership opportunities to support NCSOFT’s strategic growth objectives. This includes pursuing new business, building relationships, leading exploratory discussions, performing evaluations, recommending acquisition and partnership opportunities, and negotiating business deals.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Identify, select, evaluate, and negotiate business development and partnership agreements.
Align with executive team to understand long-term goals and provide insights around opportunities that may exist.
Present business proposals and updates to stakeholders and Executives
Build consensus among stakeholders both internally and externally.
Help drive the entire M&A process, including market landscapes, target valuation, due diligence, deal negotiations, and integration.
Establish and maintain trusted relationships with senior executives across the industry ranging from large game publishers to small indie developers and constantly find ways to effectively grow your professional network.
Develop financial models for deal analysis to determine structure, support proposals, and influence negotiations.
Partner with Legal to manage and review contractual agreements and legal risk, and partner with Finance to ensure business plan assumptions and forecasts are validated and supported.
Develop and report on KPI's relative to the Business Development activities
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Extensive knowledge of the video game ecosystem and a strong network of senior contacts throughout the industry
Proven ability to structure, execute and manage complex business transactions with a solid track record of managing deals end to end.
Excellent communication skills - You must be able to cultivate strong working relationships, communicate effectively, write meticulously, and give outstanding presentations.
Ability to develop deep, trust-based relationships and influence different stakeholder groups.
Strong analytical skills, capable of doing in-depth analysis, to provide business insights.
10+ years of gaming experience with a meaningful portion of that time spent working in business development.
A college degree or equivalent background required, MBA a plus.
