Nash (YC S21) makes it easy for businesses to offer same-day delivery. We do this by building applications on top of delivery APIs (like Doordash, Uber, and 30 more fleets) that enable business-specific workflows. Delivery is getting commoditized by companies like Uber, Lyft, and DoorDash and Nash is building the application layer on top of the delivery APIs to enable businesses to offer delivery to their customers.
Nash was founded in 2021 by a team from Palantir and MIT, and has currently raised from top investors including Y-Combinator to build the world’s best local delivery platform.
About The Role
At the core of the Nash product is an exchange of delivery transactions. Businesses input jobs on one side and they get resolved to delivery providers on the other side. We are looking for an experienced data scientist to own and build our DS function. Nash, being a data heavy transaction business, presents an incredible opportunity to move the product forward with DS.
Some examples include:
ML workflows for alerting triggers and reliability of delivery.
Data pipeline ownership for analytical workflows
Customer facing analytics - helping businesses extract operational insights from delivery data
Route optimization and batching - enabling neighboring local business to collaborate by batching their deliveries
Enabling proactive customer support with early detection of operational failure
Developing reliability metrics on delivery partners
Orchestration strategies for businesses to achieve more optimal allocation of deliveries between providers
This role will operate within the core product team and collaborate closely to ship features.
