Product Manager, Molecular Diagnostics

Nanopath is a fast-growing women's health company working to transform the landscape of in-vitro diagnostics. The Product Manager will be responsible for overseeing the product lifecycle of the Nanopath platform, including the instrument and related consumables. This includes conducting market research, gathering and analyzing voice of customer (VOC) feedback, defining product requirements, and executing go-to-market strategies. You will work closely with R&D teams to ensure customer needs are incorporated into product development and collaborate with the growing commercial teams to support successful product launch. This position will play a key role in leading 1) the development and execution of the product roadmap for the women's health portfolio, including new product introduction and product lifecycle management; 2) development and execution of the business strategy to drive commercial success of the products within the portfolio. 

 Role & Responsibilities:

  • Market Research & Voice of Customer (VOC): Conduct in-depth market research, customer interviews, and competitive analysis to understand market needs and inform product direction. Continuously gather customer feedback to shape the product’s evolution.
  • Product Definition & Requirements: Lead the product definition process, working cross-functionally to create detailed product specifications and requirements. Collaborate with R&D to ensure product design aligns with customer expectations.
  • Positioning & Differentiation: Develop product positioning, value propositions, and messaging strategies that effectively communicate the unique capabilities of the Nanopath platform in the context of in-vitro diagnostics. 
  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for the Nanopath platform. Define the product roadmap and manage prioritization of features based on customer needs, market trends, and company goals.
  • Collaboration with R&D and Company Leadership: Act as the voice of the customer within the product development process, providing critical input into the design and development of new features and enhancements. Work cross-functionally with other company leadership, including R&D, regulatory and clinical affairs, operations, quality, and finance.

Technical & General Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in product management within life sciences diagnostics, tools or technologies. 
  • Experience with verification and validation of FDA-regulated diagnostics products (510k, de novo, PMA)
  • Strong understanding of molecular biology, bioengineering, and diagnostic technologies. Experience working with hardware instrumentation, such as imaging systems or microfluidics, is a requirement. 
  • Experience in a strategic operating role within a biotech/medtech startup.
  • Proven track record of successful product management at a life sciences company.
  • Experience gathering and synthesizing voice of customer (VOC) data to influence product decisions.
  • Strong ability to define product requirements and manage cross-functional teams to deliver on those requirements.
  • Solid understanding of market dynamics, competitive positioning, and pricing strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with R&D, marketing, and other functions to drive product success.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering or a similar technical field (Master’s or PhD a plus).
