The Role:

We are seeking a senior-level engineer who is an expert in event-driven architecture and AWS. The ideal candidate is a fast learner, a hard worker, has a knack for creative problem-solving, and is a low-ego team player. You will join Nacelle’s core development team to develop and build new features for our backend systems. You will work directly with a team of talented engineers who share your passion for server-less architecture, low latency solutions, and superior user experiences. We are a passionate engineering team of 8 and will be rapidly growing to a team size of nearly 30 by the end of 2021.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Implement robust and fast integration and end-to-end automation harnesses
  • Integrate modern testing frameworks into our CICD pipeline
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure standards of quality are met
  • Develop in-house best practices to train and empower developers to create efficient and reliable tests
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies to ensure proper workload and alignment

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5 years of node.js experience in a pure development, test automation, or DevOps capacity
  • Experience in a fast-paced VC-backed startup SaaS environment
  • Experience developing test suites for GraphQL, REST APIs
  • Expert with modern testing platforms including jest, cypress, percy, applitools
  • Strong understanding of software patterns and data structures
  • Comfortable in a scrum-based agile environment

Nice to Have:

  • Familiar with key DevOps principles such as infrastructure as code
  • Exposure to a high-performance continuous delivery pipeline
  • Developed testing suites for data pipelines that utilized MSK (kafka), EMR, or related data platforms
