The role in a nutshell
As Junior Procurement Officer, you’ll be a part of the Procurement and wider Finance team. The Procurement team is responsible for defining the procurement strategy and guaranteeing the best value for money with all spend as required by UNiDAYS. Your role is to work with the Procurement Manager to provide leadership and ensure an efficient, cost-effective and best practice procurement process across the business. You will build positive stakeholder relationships (both internal and external) and maintain accurate records in our systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Purchase order management: Review purchase requests, check budget approvals and create a PO in our finance system Business Central.
- Contract renewal management: Work with the Procurement Manager to review upcoming contract renewals, liaising with the internal stakeholders and the supplier.
- RFP and new contract negotiations: Work with the Procurement Manager, assist with all formal quotation and tender activities, from evaluation to contract signature, preparing documentation and coordinating and updating documents ensuring that all materials are up to date and relevant.
Updating information: Ensure that contracts are continuously updated and accurate in OneTrust. Update all necessary information for the procurement dashboard.Supplier management: Work with the Procurement Manager to monitor suppliers performance, ensure SLA and KPI’s are met, and drive continuous improvement. What we need from you
EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
2-3 years in a Procurement or Purchasing department.
- General knowledge of Procurement, accounting, data and administrative management practices and procedures.
- Basic knowledge of the Procurement life cycle and value creation through negotiation and contract delivery.
Desirable:
- Experience in indirect or services procurement.
- Hold or interested in studying towards CIPS Level 3.
