*this role is open to remote working within the UK. Successful candidates will be required to travel to their closest UNiDAYS campus (London or Nottingham) on occasion.

The role in a nutshell

In the role of the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for the success and growth of our UK market; and manage partnerships from both a domestic and global perspective. You will lead the UK commercial organisation, establishing a commercial centre of excellence for the region, developing core partnership capabilities and talent, and growing the team inline with our goals for the market.

Teams across our global commercial organisation are specialised and structured in the following way:

  • Category Management
  • Strategic Account Management
  • Partner Performance Analytics

The Commercial Director ensures that best practice across each function is being adhered to at a market level, provides strong coaching and leadership, and ensures UNiDAYS hits regional audience growth, engagement and revenue targets. The commercial director will lead the New Business and Strategic Account Management functions. You’ll work closely with the key stakeholders in the business across Operations, Marketing, Legal, and Senior Leadership to define the regional growth strategy and plan, and oversee delivery in line with the plan and budget at a market level.

Whilst UNiDAYS have developed a suite of global standards, and a playbook for success, there is room to innovate on process and approach in each market, creating the conditions necessary to win. The UNiDAYS partner value proposition is still seen by the market and our partners as primarily a student discount affiliate organisation. Few of our partners understand the true value we provide currently and can offer them. As a result we’re excluded from their internal strategic discussions about maximising long term business value.

We want a commercial leader who can educate the market and our partners on the true value of UNiDAYS. Namely that we’re the perfect partner for any organisation that has an interest in generating mutual benefit for themselves and students.
