Who is behind mySugr?
mySugr was founded in 2012 in Vienna, Austria by four passionate entrepreneurs. Today, more than 50 talented people at mySugr at our locations in Vienna, Austria and Encinitas, California. In June 2017 we became part of the Roche family with mySugr serving as the heart of Roche Diabetes Care’s new patient-centered digital health services. mySugr remains an independent legal entity with independent work processes.
Why are we good at what we do?
We know diabetes. And it’s the combination of incredibly high technical product quality, beautiful design, and deep understanding of diabetes that make us unique. The mySugr app is a registered risk class 1 medical device in the US and EU, and mySugr (the company) is ISO 13485 certified. As of today mySugr has filled a gap for over a million loyal users.
What motivates us?
A large part of our company lives with diabetes, many since childhood. We bring that experience and knowledge to product development, with a big dose of love and creativity. We live and breathe our products.
How do we work?
Our headquarter is located in Vienna, Austria where all our developers not only live and breathe agility on paper but are also constantly optimising our working methods. Our ultimate aim is having autonomous teams that are able to independently organize themselves. In order to achieve this, we regularly adapt our processes to the respective teams. Our teams (consisting of about 7 people each) are responsible for design, development, quality assurance, marketing and product management.
