Network Technician II
About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Network Technician who is responsible for handling daily activities related to staging electronic equipment for advanced configuration and timeline-based project deployments. This requires configuration to client specified requirements advancing the status of daily sales orders to successfully hit project and client committed service level agreements. This role requires collaboration with colleagues in our warehouse and configuration center to ensure the quality and timely delivery of orders to our clients.
Responsibilities include:
Perform advanced configuration as specified, including:
- Unboxing, inspecting, and setting up product for configuration or burn-in
- Complete hardware and software configuration as detailed by work instructions
- Following step-by-step instructions without error
- Wiring, labeling, and configuration of electronic components, peripherals, infrastructure device(s) and/or computer equipment racks
- Quality assurance and signoff to checklist
- Breakdown and re-boxing to meet specified shipping requirements
- Efficiently pack products as specified to meet client/project requirements
- Notify appropriate party when configuration supplies or tools are needed
- Investigate and resolve challenges as necessary
- Assist in inventory cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy
- Create documentation for instructional use
- Other duties as needed including assisting other departments in the warehouse
- Commitment to ongoing security awareness training and adherence to company policies and best practices.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and participate in professional development activities.
Required skills and experience:
- Experience configuring Enterprise grade networking/security hardware via Command Line Interface (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, etc.).
- Ability to demonstrate a fundamental understanding of IP Networks
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as a configuration or service technician working with IP based products in a networking/cabling or data center environment.
- Knowledge of how to properly handle fiber & associated parts (optics, etc.)
- Fundamental knowledge of data centers, and their functions is required.
- Ability to lift packages of 50 lbs. without machinery
Location: West Deptford, New Jersey
Shift: 9 am to 5 pm EST (Monday to Friday)

Pursuant to the NYC Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range in New York City for this position is $60,000 to $65,000 plus opportunities for bonus and/or commission programs. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
