We are currently seeking a qualified, highly motivated, experienced individual for the position of Social Media Manager. The position is located in Basel, Switzerland.
Summary Description
The Social Media Manager will bring the Myovant brand and what it stands for to life for internal and external audiences, via social media channels. This person will be a member of the Brand and Digital Communication team within Corporate Strategy and Advocacy, which sits in the Office of the CEO. Brand and Digital Communications is responsible for managing Myovant’s corporate branded digital ecosystem. To accomplish this, we have a team of proactive, strategic thinkers/doers who work to constantly improve our social media and web channels. We are focused on a multi-channel, campaign-focused strategy aimed at high quality content and high engagement.
This person will define and champion the Myovant company voice – one that speaks with impact to our key audiences and brings our company purpose to life – across our owned social channels, both paid and organic. This person will also set and implement social strategy and elevate social content to a world-class level that is consistent with the brand – in addition to aligning social campaigns, posts and community interactions with Corporate Strategy and Advocacy priorities, make informed decisions about what is published on our social channels.
The ideal candidate will be creative, decisive, and strategic as well as highly collaborative in the service of our purpose: to redefine care for women and for men through purpose-driven science, empowering medicines, and transformative advocacy. The candidate will need a breadth of experience across channels to ensure that all of them are strategically aligned and speaking with one voice. You will be a hands-on doer as well as a coach for team members and colleagues, bringing your depth of social experience and digital campaign savvy into the mix.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee social media activities and accounts to ensure high-quality content and user experience as well as legal compliance
- Explore and when appropriate launch new Myovant social channels
- Design social media strategies to improve engagement and ensure brand consistency across all our social media channels
- Drive strategy and implement paid social media that enables coordinated and efficient use of paid campaigns by Corporate Strategy and Advocacy, and the larger organization; be primary point of contact with agencies implementing paid campaigns
- Enable access to our corporate channels; help stakeholders get their content on social in the right place and right format
- Provide coaching and advice to teammates and the wider organization on social media best practices
- Define the most important social media KPIs and measure the success of campaigns; deliver reports on performance of paid and organic campaigns
- Update/create our social media company governance policies and guidelines, including social media management tools
- Evaluate SEO and user engagement on Myovant websites and suggest content optimization
- Maintain expertise on emerging digital trends and technologies
- Optimize the interplay between social channels and myovant.com
- Deliver consistency and quality on our corporate channels: the experience of the Myovant brand in the digital space
- Participate with brainstorming and development of social media opportunities coming in from comms partners and business partners
REQUIREMENTS
Education, Experience & Skills
General
- Oversee social media activities and accounts to ensure high-quality content and user experience as well as legal compliance
- Bring the Myovant Voice to life in the conversations we engage in on social media
Evergreen topic co-create and implement topic framework
- Collaborate across the organization to co-create and champion and ensure implementation of strategic topic framework in yearly and quarterly editorial planning
- Design social media strategies to improve engagement and ensure brand consistency across all our social media channels globally
Guidance and quality control
- Give direction and support on content development to social media partners on Myovant channels
- Further develop and implement channel specific standards or guidelines to improve consistency, clarity and quality
- All corporate content published on Myovant social channels must flow through this person’s team in a timely manner and be vetted for quality and brand alignment
- Find and vet freelance writers/editors/asset creators
Insight-driven communications
- Integrate analytics and brand insights in publishing process to further improve content on social
- Monitor performance of posts and campaigns and feed back learnings into the larger Myovant organization
- Drive strategy and implement paid social media that enables coordinated and efficient use of paid campaigns by Brand and Digital Communications and the larger organization; be primary point of contact with agencies implementing paid campaigns
- Enable access to our corporate channels and others in the company, help stakeholders get their content on social in the right place and right format
- Provide counsel to teammates and the wider organization on social media best practices
- Update/create our social media company governance policies and guidelines, including social media management tools
- Participate with brainstorming and development of social media opportunities coming in from comms partners and business partners
- Define the most important social media KPIs and measure the success of campaigns; deliver reports on performance of paid and organic campaigns
- Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
