Job Title: Senior Director : Monetisation
Overview:
As the leader for Monetization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to generate revenue and maximize profitability for Myntra. You will lead a team dedicated to monetizing our products or services while ensuring a balance between revenue generation and user experience. Your role will involve analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities for monetization, and collaborating with various parts of the business to execute monetization strategies effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute monetization strategies: Lead the development and implementation of monetization strategies aligned with the company's AOP and strategic objectives.
- Revenue optimization: Analyze market trends, user behavior, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for revenue generation and maximize profitability.
- Pricing strategy: Develop and adjust pricing strategies for products or services to optimize revenue while benchmarking with relevant competition
- Monetization channels: Identify and evaluate various monetization channels across On-App Endemic, 3P, Seller & Customer, Externalization and partnerships, and determine the most effective approaches for each product or service.
- Partner Success: Work with various Monetization brand partners/ customers to ensure their success with Monetization adoption. Provide guidance to the operations team on ways to improve campaign optimization and monetization effectiveness.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Product & Tech, marketing, category, and finance teams to integrate monetization strategies into overall business plans and ensure alignment across departments.
- Performance analysis: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of monetization strategies and initiatives. Regularly monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Experimentation and optimization: Conduct A/B testing and experimentation to optimize monetization strategies, pricing models, and revenue streams.
- Audit & Compliance : Ensure that all monetization practices comply with relevant regulations and industry standards. Uphold ethical standards in monetization approaches and practices.
- Team leadership: Build and lead a high-performing monetization team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to team members. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
- Stakeholder communication: Communicate monetization strategies, performance insights, and recommendations to senior management and other relevant stakeholders effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, economics, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Overall experience of 15+ years with proven experience in a senior monetization or revenue management role, preferably in a technology, digital media, or e-commerce company.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Deep understanding of monetization models, pricing strategies, and revenue optimization techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Leadership experience with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute monetization strategies in a dynamic and competitive market.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to monetization practices.
- Experience with A/B testing, experimentation, and performance analysis tools and methodologies.
