Roles and Responsibilities

Create sustainable growth momentum and drive business strategy

  • Define Business Strategy and draw the overall growth strategy in terms of business & customer enablers
  • Work closely across cross functional teams to identify and work on issues & opportunities across biz enabling it for teams below
  • Liase across senior stakeholders with external brands and partners to draft long term business strategies and review short term performance
  • Help create destination selection across categories by engaging levers around Licensing, Private Labels, International Brands, Nationals etc
  • Internally lead the thought and direction across the category across selection, customer, competition, trends, channels etc

Improve overall business health & own the P&L

  • End to end business owner across categories with rich understanding of levers of driving profitability
  • Good hands on understanding on inventory planning and optimization
  • Drive optimization across pricing, funnel metrics, monetization and other enablers to successfully lead category P&Ls

Senior Stakeholder Management & Cross Functional Liaison

  • Create presentations, notes around key business issues & opportunities and gather sponsorship across senior stakeholders for alignment and execution
  • Work closely with teams and brand partners on deal negotiations, exclusives and other key JBP elements

Lead teams and create an engaged people org below

  • Reduce attrition run rate
  • Improvement in employee engagement
  • Constantly work on driving key people engagements and crafting IDPs to ensure a create team to deliver biz objectives

Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA Degree from Premier B Schools
  • 8 years of total; 4+ years experience in e-commerce/ related fields
  • Ideally must have worked leading multiple categories, key account management, negotiations, drafting catg management strategies for high growth
  • Effective communication skills
  • Must have led a medium size team >5 people for a minimum of 2 years; must showcase ability to lead, mentor and manage high performing individuals
  • Must manage multiple senior stakeholders independently
  • High competency in written and verbal communication skills (preparation of business documentation, presenting to senior stakeholders a must)
  • Able to work with others in a fast-paced, team environment and to interact effectively with all levels of management.
  • Results oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, can work individually with minimal or no supervision
