At MyFitnessPal, we believe health starts with what you eat. We provide tools, resources and support to enable users to reach their health goals.

Our Product group supports that mission by building products that make health data more compelling and actionable. And we want to ensure that the Product experience extends to how we express our content and data in our largest channels, including search engines.

We’re looking for a Product Manager to lead our work to optimize our search performance. You’ll improve the performance of our food data and content on search engines (e.g., Google), build tools that help us scale the search engine optimization work of our data and content, and look to grow search performance in new areas. You’ll develop a long-term strategy, and balance that with the nuts and bolts of getting product work out the door. You’ll work in a collaborative, diverse environment with multiple partners, including other product and marketing teams. And, you’ll work with our data and engineering partners to build the kinds of data and experimentation tools we need to measure success.

We want a product manager who believes in our mission, and is excited about creating digital product experiences that truly help people to understand and make a positive impact on their long-term health.

What you’ll do:

  • Prioritize SEO work based on audience needs, impact on our business goals, and input from partners and company leadership
  • Determine the technical SEO roadmaps by gathering requirements and user research, authoring product briefs and user stories, organizing the product backlog, and triaging bugs after release
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with partners in Engineering, Design, Data, Project Management, Business Intelligence, and Marketing
  • Develop clear, testable hypotheses for validation
  • Analyze performance metrics, and use this data to identify compelling opportunities, improve user experiences and produce better results
  • Communicate with partners across the organization about your priorities and roadmap, solicit feedback, and insights
  • Understand relevant tools, so that you can improve them and unlock opportunities for product managers, marketers, and our editorial team
  • Track best practices and new ideas taking place externally in the SEO space, adding them to your strategy and product plans
Foster a motivated, collaborative team culture

Qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Enjoy working with data (comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets) and are eager to get better. Tableau and SQL experience is a plus

  • Experience relevant to and passion for ways to improve SEO performance
  • Passion for food and health and MyFitnessPal’s mission
