Exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer to join a fun team of colorful designers and creatives. Must have experience launching technical products, must have experience in responsive web applications, experience in IoT and event ticketing businesses a huge plus! This role has immense room for growth and elements of a Technical Product Manager position - both managing and executional.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Designing and developing programming systems internally for Museum of Ice Cream and parent company
  • Managing external development partner and technical integrations consultants
  • Reviewing and repairing legacy code
  • Conducting system analysis and development with limited support from professional staff
  • Analyzing, designing, coordinating and supervising the development of software systems
  • Analyzing system specifications and translate system requirements to task specifications for junior programmers
  • Vetting and hiring junior programmers and serves as their direct report
  • Providing analysis of current programs including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problem programs, and designing solutions to problematic programming
  • Developing new programs and proves the program to develop needed changes
  • Developing new programs, analyzes current programs and processes, and makes recommendations
  • Writing, editing, and debugging new computer programs for assigned projects
  • Documenting code consistently throughout the development process by listing a description of the program, special instructions, and any changes made in database tables on procedural, modular and database level
  • Responsible for reading, understanding, and utilizing all part and assembly prints, forms, spreadsheets, bills of material, specification sheets, and technical references
  • Utilizing tools and equipment involved in performance of essential functions of programming including measuring instruments
  • Searching, summarizing and keeping the team abreast of strategic information from all sources
  • Maintaining client databases
  • Communicating with engineers and manufacturer’s technical support staff regarding programming needs and performance
  • Providing feedback to analysis/training staff about performance considerations / usability issues concerning software specifications and implementation
  • Researching and recommending software tools to management
  • Providing comments and recommendations for a codebase and architecture
  • Managing prioritization of sprints with dev and internal partners
  • Being a part of feature prioritization and new feature creation based on changes in the marker
  • Providing assistance to testers and supporting personnel as needed to determine system problems

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or another related field
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of software engineering or software development experience, preferably in a related field
  • Hands-on programming experience using relevant languages
  • Experience using relevant tool suites
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • The ability to prioritize activities and deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Experience working with clients, business partners, and consultants or contractors
  • Experience working with technology designers (UX, Visual Design, etc)
  • A comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts
  • Excellent coding skills
  • Extensive knowledge of agile methodologies
