Position Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Head of Product (a VP of Product or Chief Product Officer depending on the candidate’s expertise and experience), who is technologically savvy, a strong collaborator, a customer zealot, and is skilled in communication and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
As Mursion’s VP Product or Chief Product Officer, you will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of Mursion's product roadmap. You will collaborate with the executive team and key functional teams to deliver innovative, scalable solutions that delight customers, drive engagement, produce measurable behavior change, and contribute to the company’s growth. This role requires a strategic, customer-obsessed, data-driven leader with a proven track record of delivering impactful AI products that delight customers and drive business results. Domain knowledge of Computer Science, Learning Science and/or Behavioral Science are critical for the successful candidate, as is experience building products that leverage Large Language Models. This role reports to the CEO.
Responsibilities
- Customer, Data, Market Insights: Collect and analyze customer feedback from buyers and users, market trends, and performance metrics to continuously enhance the product and drive business goals.
- Product Vision & Strategy: Define a product vision and strategy that aligns with Mursion’s business objective of transforming itself from a technology enabled simulation service, to an AI Upskilling Platform, with multiple product offerings that easily scale and integrate into the HR tech ecosystems of enterprise customers.
- Product Roadmap: Build and manage the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timely delivery of key milestones.
Product P&L: Own the Product Budget and work with the CFO to create ROI measures on key product enhancements.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, including gathering feedback, analyzing data, defining requirements, and managing rollout planning.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Go-To-Market, Client Engagement, Learning & Talent Operations, Marketing, and Engineering teams to deliver cohesive product experiences.
Customer Facing Expert: Work closely with buyers, subject matter experts and influencers shaping the future of AI simulations and coaching systems to drive behavior change at scale. This is a customer facing role.
- Team Leadership: Hire, train, and mentor product managers while managing budgets and optimizing resource allocation.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in product management, including 5+ years in a leadership role in an AI-centric, enterprise SaaS business that has scaled to greater than $50 million in ARR.
- Proven track record of building and scaling enterprise SaaS products with a focus on customer engagement and retention.
- Experience building products focused on skill development, knowledge acquisition, or behavior change.
- The ideal candidate has demonstrable and impressive experience working with Large Language Models and has built products that are driven by Artificial Intelligence.
- Exceptional analytical skills with experience using data to inform decisions.
- Strong cross-functional leadership experience, particularly with Go-To-Market, Engineering, and Customer Success teams.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills to align stakeholders and inspire teams.
- Experience leading teams in a remote or hybrid work environment.
- Passion for learning, talent development, and innovative technology solutions.
