Through individual contribution and team leadership, the Senior Director of the Professional Division will oversee all major areas within the professional channel, including marketing, sales, and demand planning.  The Director will provide leadership to guide sales goal delivery.  Collaborating closely with the VP of Professional, the Director will help develop sales strategies, and marketing initiatives, and create annual sales and marketing budgets. Cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Finance, Global Marketing, Operations, and other departments is a crucial aspect of this role.s. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with V.P. of Professional to develop professional strategy and KPIs
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve ambitious revenue targets within the professional channel.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within the professional channel accounts (spas, salons, distributors, dermatology practices, medical spas, aesthetic clinics, etc)
  • Lead initiatives to create marketing materials to elevate, prospect, and support the brand within the professional space (includes loyalty programs, prospecting kits, school program materials, in-office collateral, etc)
  • Analyze market trends and identify new opportunities for growth within the professional channel.
  • Oversee the sales budget and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop strategies to optimize sales performance
  • Manage marketing budget within the professional channel
  • Attend trade shows and partner conferences as a brand ambassador and to understand future trends
  • Create joint business plans with key partners
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support professional channels (R&D, supply chain, global marketing, finance, etc)
  • Provide regular business updates to senior leadership including but not limited to a monthly business review presentation
  • Forecasting and inventory

 

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sales leadership, within the professional beauty space
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving business objectives.
  • Strong understanding of the professional channel, including dermatology practices, medical spas, and aesthetic clinics.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and navigate complex sales environments
  • Microsoft Office applications – PowerPoint and Excel required

This position is based in our El Segundo, CA headquarters, which is currently 40% hybrid onsite/remote work.

The expected base salary for this position is $180,000 to $195,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
