Overall Purpose

The IT Project Manager will work across multiple departments, from an Agile engineering organisation, Product department, business teams to Legal department, and everything in between, planning, tracking, driving & facilitating the delivery of mission critical projects.

Responsibilities

 

  • Drive the execution of digital business opportunities and solutions together with the business stakeholders with the background of organisational change and transformation
  • Plan projects in cooperation with various IT/Biz units and the clients and stakeholders
  • Working with the Tech lead and Product Owner to provide leadership to the cross functional project team
  • Manage project scope in conjunction with the product owner & sponsor.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered in a quality manner, on time and within budget.
  • Agile project plans are developed with appropriate milestones and interdependencies are noted and tracked. Be an advocate for the agile mindset and continuous improvement.
  • Manage external providers in accordance with contractual agreements.
  • Manage, track and resolve project issues & risk.
  • Facilitate workshops / review meetings / core team meetings / Agile ceremonies with the product owner
  • Identify and ensure that all PM processes and procedures are completed, quality standards are met: Create a project document library (to manage schedules, budgets, registers, progress reports, change requests, close outs etc.)
  • Track & managing project budgets
  • Review agile teams’ progress with product managers/sponsors, including sprint plans, burndown charts, epics and user story execution and milestone achievements
    • Timely reporting and tracking across teams, and making statuses public/visible
    • Facilitate the creation and maintenance of a public and living project tracking process with the PMO to promote transparency.
    • Identify any other key KPI’s to be reported on for each project
    • Data - Ensure that projects goals include as a priority, data security, improved data access and reporting

 

Education

  • Hands-on project management experience – 4+ years
  • PM Qualification such as PMP/ Prince2 etc a plus
  • Agile/Scrum master training/qualification/certification/experience

Technical / Professional Skills

  • Deep understanding of IT project management

·       Agile methodology qualifications and/or experience (inc Agile ceremonies, artefacts etc)

·       Pro-active, professional, articulate, and reliable with strong communication skills including the ability to engage independently with multiple stakeholders within MRAS

·       Commercial and financially literate with a good understanding of budgeting, cost control and ROI.

·       Data Literate - Able to synthesize data and analytics to formulate sound project objectives and goals

·       Experience of AHA, JIRA, Tempo, Azure Dev Ops reporting, or other similar tracking tools is desirable

·       Expertise in planning through MS project or other tools

·       Strong PowerPoint skills
