We are looking for a Developer to join our Digital team.

Advertising creative teams are evolving, and technology needs to be right there in the trenches with art directors, writers, user experience designers and beyond. We’re looking for a creatively minded developer with rock-solid skills and a passion for Development.

At MullenLowe, our web developers are tasked with bringing digital campaigns to life on a wide array of platforms and devices. They create well-organized, robust code with maintainability and portability in mind, while bringing their deep understanding of the most innovative Web technologies to bear on the agency’s creative product.

Responsibilities:
- Continue to improve and maintain multiple CMS-driven sites (such as Drupal, WordPress or AEM)
- Work independently and with members of our design, UX, content, and account teams to build sites and other digital products for our clients
- Be able to create sites from Photoshop comps and build fully functional front-end templates, and implement them into a back-end
- Prototype project demos to aid in the assessment of new project concepts and for the adoption of new technologies
- Contribute to scoping and estimating discussions
- Find creative but practical solutions to novel problems
- Produce quality work on a tight schedule, delivering on time and on budget
- Actively communicate with project managers and stakeholders, including client contacts, throughout the course of a project, helping translate complex digital concepts and requirements to primarily non technical audiences

This position will work closely with:
The Developer role will work closely with multiple departments in the agency, including Account Services, Digital Producers, Art Directors, Copywriters, Content Managers, Developers, and other groups, to ensure the highest quality work is produced.  

Qualifications

The successful candidate has the ability to juggle multiple projects and should be driven, detail-oriented, amicable, a strong collaborator and hungry to do great work.

- A four year degree in computer science or a related field is preferred
- 2+ years of experience in an agency or start-up environment a plus
- Experience or exposure with back-end programming languages
- Experience with at least one modern CMS (Drupal, WordPress, etc.)
- Experience with Adobe Experience Manager or willingness to learn
- Ability to create and consume JSON APIs
- Rock solid HTML and CSS skills, knowing where and when to leverage emerging technologies like HTML5 and CSS3 and how to mitigate browser/device inconsistencies
- Thorough understanding of JavaScript and the DOM
- Expertise in JavaScript and at least one JavaScript framework (such as React).
- Experience converting PSDs into fully responsive sites
- Familiarity with Web standards and semantic code required, along with an awareness of implementing best practices for SEO, accessibility and performance
- Ability to identify and correct bugs and bottlenecks in new and existing projects
- Strong opinions about how to leverage emerging technologies efficiently and effectively

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $110,000.  Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience and qualifications.
