Nobody ships more Rust code to more users than Firefox and you're looking at an opportunity to join in on the action. We need your Rust, C++ and/or compiler experience to join us in bringing new languages to the Web, through the magic of Web Assembly. Firefox has an industry leading Web Assembly virtual machine. You'll help us to ready Cranelift (our next generation Rust based code generator) for deployment to Firefox users across the globe, as well as contributing to browser and VM optimisations on the C++ side.
Opportunities to collaborate with other browser teams abound, and working in the open is the norm. You’ll be responsible for writing code, tests, specifications, building prototypes, solving problems, and analyzing data. You'll get feedback from real users which you’ll turn into into bug reports, feature designs, and strategic direction to make the Web Platform even better over time.
