Driving change is your jam. You will take on a strategic role to lead strategic and tactical projects that guide the transformation of the function and have an impact across Mozilla. That responsibility comes in two parts: you’re a great project manager and a peerless change agent.

First, as a project manager, you will manage strategic and tactical projects that fix and enhance current and future People Team operations. Your project portfolio will likely include policy, processes, and technology roadmap items as we restructure the function. You will develop, define, and execute project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables that line up with our roadmap. You’re a thoughtful project artisan who knows just how much (and when) to sweat certain details in driving dependable change. You’re also more organized than most people on the planet and lead others through sustained project governance.

Second, you will be a mature, articulate change agent. You will collaborate working closely with People Team members, corporate function leaders and managers, consultants, and vendors. You’ll be relied on to orchestrate the right resources for your projects, defining clear roles and guiding extended teams to meeting cross functional goals and initiatives that are both tactical and strategic for the People function. This is where your secret powers become apparent to everyone. Not only are you organized but also know how to lead others through change.

Finally, you will help drive a culture of data-driven insights. You truly enjoy creating ways to bring project details to life through the right technology. You’re adept at communicating through tools that inspire others. It is your command of PM tools and approaches that allows you to demonstrate project management prowess and attention to detail that inspires others.


  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology, business or technology; Master’s degree would be great, but not required.
  • 5-7+ years of professional HR or corporate governance project manager experience, HR management consulting highly desired, but not required if you’ve driven company level projects in HR departments that result in operational improvements. Less years of experience will be considered if you’ve made a big impact in a short period of time.
  • Great communicator—clean work product, organized decks, solid models, organized project plans, wonderful interpersonal skills
  • Solid business acumen. Able to gather and present business requirements as user-acceptance test cases that support employee and manager clients’ needs
  • Relentless attention to detail that exposes the intersection of scope, schedule, resources, quality, and risks
  • Expert user of project management tools and methodologies
  • Comfortable with HRIS concepts for designing, building, testing, and deploying lifecycle development. You do not have to be technical, but you can lead projects that center on technology improvements.
  • Demonstrable project reporting, focused on data. Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail, project plans are strengths. You know how to deliver data-driven insights to your projects and impact to scope changes, critical path and cost.
