Creative Directors are the Creative leads of multiple lines of business. They represent the entire Creative team and are responsible for the health and growth of the Creative team, as well as anything and everything that goes to the client. This includes (but is not limited to) mentoring the team, strategy presentations, concept guidance, molding the process to enhance our work, and working with Account Leadership and Planning to properly get a project off the ground. Projects may include video production, websites, online advertising, kiosks, digital signage, online demos, radio scripts, television commercials, print ads and more.

 

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Bi-monthly presentations to the head of the Creative Department that include business updates as well as the following:
    • Innovation presentations
    • Co-written industry articles
    • Branded Entertainment presentations
    • Media and technology department partnerships
    • 3rd party partnerships
    • Publicis and Vivaki synergies
  • Brainstorm results from external team members
  • Updates on team from the standpoint of structure, performance, and analysis
  • Conference/training recommendations
  • Updates on client personal relationships
  • New business updates and wish list
  • Anticipate and address strategic and creative obstacles and provide possible solutions
  • Think bigger
  • Focus on innovation
  • Double check information from media, research, and trend spotters to ensure their integration into the task at hand
  • Deliver presentations to senior creative personnel and clients
  • Remain current on industry and technology trends. Create and maintain a high energy level throughout the creative department
  • Maintain an effective team structure and provide guidance on roles and responsibilities
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

 

Nature and Scope

  • Reports to SVP of Creative

 

Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising or Ad School grad 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must have a strong online portfolio, candidates will not be considered without one

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies

  • Should have knowledge and experience in performing on a variety of consumer, industrial, corporate and institutional advertising assignments within digital and traditional marketing
  • Must have experience directing and mentoring Creative Teams
  • Demonstrable strategic marketing thinking and independent work ethic
  • The ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and to adjust to inevitable changes in timelines, deadlines, and project goals
