MOTIVE - COPYWRITING INTERN

Motive is on the hunt for a copywriting intern to join our team, learn from seasoned industry pros and bring a creative voice to projects for some of the biggest, boldest brands in the world. Accepting summer and fall interns still in school, or recent graduates looking for a permanent position. This is a paid internship.

Your Responsibilities

  1. WRITE YOUR HEART OUT: We expect you to come in and start putting pen to paper (colloquially) from Day One. If you love to write, we’d love to have you.
  2. BE DISRUPTIVELY CREATIVE: Writers are thinkers by nature, so you’ll be invited to brainstorm, collaborate and push what’s possible for our clients—in addition to all that writing you’ll be doing.
  3. BE READY TO LEARN: Our team of writers and creative thinkers is experienced, forward-thinking and ready to make you a part of the crew—if you’re ready to put in the work and commit to the learning process.
  4. CHASE CULTURE WITH US: You’ll need to stay extra close to cultural, communal and technological trends to make sure we’re communicating where, when and how is most powerful and relevant.

Requirements

  • Graduate or enrollee at an advertising or journalism school
  • An online writing portfolio with clear examples of work
  • Creativity and flexibility
  • Self-motivation and attention to detail
  • Willing to pitch in to absorb everything you can in an agency environment
  • Willing to roll up your sleeves and get things done
  • Able to work at least 30 hours per week for a 12 week period (preference for 40+ hours)
