Summary:

Motional is seeking a motivated manager to join our growing FP&A team. The position will report to the Director of FP&A and partner specifically with our SG&A and Operations teams to provide insight into financial performance and trends, advise the business on strategic direction, and act as a liaison for transformation initiatives. This role will have high visibility to executive leadership and integral for working through our business transformation and optimization.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly P&L analysis for assigned lines of business compared to forecast and budget
  • Lead and guide annual budget process for assigned business lines
  • Assist business with developing accurate and timely monthly forecasts
  • Business partner to SG&A and Operations executives and direct reports
  • Act as a liaison between business and other areas of the organization to facilitate transformation activities (e.g. work with business and finance colleagues to drive improved P&L reporting structure)
  • Provide meaningful, repeatable and ad-hoc reporting to drive business decision making
  • Identify areas of process and systems improvement and work cross functionally to implement solutions
  • Work with the business on all necessary financial analysis (headcount modeling, make vs. buy analysis, investment return/NPV, 3-5 year planning, etc.)
  • Take ownership of organizational reporting requirements and assist in development of new reports from the recently implemented ERP
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of FP&A
  • Travel may be required to meetings and/or facilities but is not a primary responsibility

Skills and Qualifications:

  • BS, BA in finance or accounting
  • MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive finance experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong MS Office skills specifically, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Advanced analytical and project management skills
  • Ability to objectively review processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ability to understand and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Experience providing analysis and thought leadership to executive leadership
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff from different teams throughout the organization (including executive level)
