Autonomous Vehicle Intern, Planning & Control (Research): Planning in Reduced Visibility

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Intern (Planning and Control) to help in achieving our goals.

Please note that it will be in our Singapore office, and we would expect a minimum 5 months internship period.
What You'll Be Doing
Explore further methods to improve driving in visibility restricted environments, leveraging nuPlan (planning benchmarking tool). Work directions include:
Mine for driving log instances from the nuPlan dataset which are significantly impacted by visibility restrictions
Bringup new visibility risk metrics to supplement existing performance metrics in nuPlan
Develop occlusion reasoning logic to generate motion constraints and/or costs for the vehicle to respond with appropriate caution, validating with nuPlan tool
What We're Looking For
Pursuing or completed Master’s Degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field
Knowledge of motion planning fundamentals
Strong hands-on experience with autonomous robotics systems and ability to analyse and debug planning issues
Fluency in Python or C++
Experience with linux systems
