Morgan & Morgan seeks a highly skilled and experienced Accident Investigator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations into various types of accidents, including—but not limited to—automobile and trucking accidents. Your primary objective will be to gather and analyze evidence to determine the cause and contributing factors of accidents, ultimately aiding in pursuing legal claims on behalf of our clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive investigations into accidents, including site visits, evidence collection, and witness interviews.
- Utilize accident reconstruction techniques and tools to analyze physical evidence, vehicle damage, and other relevant factors to determine the sequence of events leading to the accident— be well-versed in the photos and measurements needed for a thorough investigation.
- Maintain accurate records of investigations, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to ethical standards— verify documentation given/taken for accuracy, thoroughness, and relevancy.
- Proactively communicate with Morgan & Morgan’s CCC support personnel regarding any scheduling or client issues that may arise that involve attorney or case manager direction.
- Review and verify daily scheduled appointments and tasks and independently determine the most efficient route and schedule to best complete the objective to service the client.
- Independently confirm all appointments and directions with the appropriate contacts daily to ensure client satisfaction and the timeliness of appointments.
- Independently perform other duties as assigned or determined on a case-by-case basis.
Requirements
- Prior law enforcement/detective experience.
- Resident of the state of Georgia preferred.
- Ability to travel at a moment’s notice anywhere in the country.
- Certifications or training in On-the-Job Injuries and Investigations.
- Certifications in Basic and Advanced Traffic Homicide and Reconstruction.
- Independently maintain a reliable vehicle and acceptable driving history with no more than 3 traffic citations within any 12-month period.
